“ I tried the 鍋燒意麵 and was pleasantly surprised by its authenticity. The noodles had a nice texture, with a satisfying fried and then soaked in broth feel. The flavor of the broth was spot-on. While the noodles were slightly thinner than what I remember from Taiwan and the toppings were a bit varied (fish ball, shrimp, poached egg, beef slices), it added a unique twist to the dish. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I appreciate the effort to bring a taste of Taiwan here. Thank you for the flavorful meal! ”

“ A life IS worth living type meal. Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was delicious, stick-to-your-bones type of flavor with perfect spicy/salty broth and heaping chunks of beef. Panda Boba balls were firm and chewy, great texture: not too sweet and not gummy nor slimy at all. Outdoor seating was chill. Shout out to owners for bringing out water and treats for my dog :) ”

The noodles in the ground pork dish were a little soggy, and the ratio of meat to noodles left me with a bunch of noodles left over (could have used about double the ground pork). However, the meat is tasty, and the egg on top was also good. I also had the orange green tea. They recommended 50% sweet, and I'm glad I took their advice! It was just right and a very refreshing drink. Bonus - walking distance from the Cupertino Library. ”

“ Cute low-key casual eatery, very much feels like the equivalent of a Taiwanese diner. Food closer to a 4.5 (not perfect but quite solid for the price), but it's a lovely homey feel to the place. Will definitely keep this place in the books when I'm in the mood for some quick eats or takeout. Plenty of parking space behind the building helps too. From the moment you enter it feels very homey, despite being a chain from abroad. Workers were kind and polite throughout, checking in with us regularly and helping out with requests. Doesn't seem like they get *too* many folks doing sitdown, but we were welcomed nonetheless. Their kitchen does close at 7pm though, so bit earlier than the place itself. Popcorn Chicken - 4.5/5 Solid iteration I'd be happy to munch on and share again. Hits the right notes on texture and flavor without falling too much in the extremes. Plenty juicy, light and crispy batter, plenty of fried basil (a plus I see few places opting for, so my inner aromatic is pleased). It was a hint on the salty side for seasoning, but still pretty good. The spicy powder is on the milder side in terms of spiciness, but did help make it more accessible to the less spicy inclined in the group. The rice sets seem to include a good variety of stuff to make it a balanced meal, essentially like a bento. Differing sets, but side dishes like kimchi, soup, etc. 3 Flavor Chicken - 4.5/5 Folks that know the chinese recognize this as the classic 3-cup chicken dish, but it was done pretty well at the price. Came with some veggie side dishes that paired very nicely with the dish (kimchi and a pork cabbage salad). It's not stone bowl fancy stuff and could use more oomph, so it's not top of the line in that sense, but you get great value out of the combination of stuff and the garlic is still caramelized goodness. Spring Tea Boba - 4/5 Boba tea is solid as well, so I'd believe it if they were the originater in Taiwan. Boba itself was pretty good on chewiness. Tea is the legit stuff as the flavor was good, though it could use a smidge more milk for creaminess...the sweetness was on the lower side (for the better) so hanlin is a good spot to avoid the overly sweet tendencies of a lot of shops. I'd get mine with minimal ice as it did taste a bit watery when the ice melted. ”
